You may have noticed the 5th track on our EP called Cinderella hasn’t been up on the website and listenable for some time. Reason being that we were remaking/remastering it over that last month fine tuning every last detail until it met our insane high standards.

Wait no longer, it’s up and sounding chipper and sitting well with the other 4 tracks on our EP.

So, track number 5 has nearly been mastered for everyone’s listening pleasure. This was originally quickly written in Manchester with our lady Lana writing the lyrics. It got great feedback from our friends that we decided it sould be released on this EP too. Because it was written so quickly there was a lot of unpolished parts that needed reworking so it’s been under the microscope fixing pops and clicks etc. It will shortly be available to listen and buy on our main site.

It’s all up and IT ACTUALY WORKS! I was a bit worried the main website was going to fall over due to some half assed 4am coding but it seems ok afterall.

We’re gearing up for the live shows now. Undertaking the mammoth task of converting our studio work into a stage show. We have soo many ideas it’s looking like it might turn into a theatre and multimedia performance rather than a band on stage. Anyway, I thought I’d share some inspiration with everyone. Here is Subtle and Jel, the man responsible for sparking my interest in live drum programming. The PadKontroll will be out on stage with us soon!

So…its 1 am and I’m melting into Jamie’s couch at his flat in London, laptop and glass of wine in Hand. It is finally time to relax after spending the last 5 days solid in front of a computer desperatly trying to finish Beyond Real. This song has to be the most difficult song that I have worked on ever, from the writing process, production and vocal stage to the final Master. The final track count for Beyond Real was exactly 50 including all the vocal harmonies, instruments and synths! Last night I arrived frazzled and unshaven with the CD of the tracks to Master…It took us all day and then some. Despite computer problems, and worrying it would turn a disaster ( this is the first time I have writen, produced and attempted a final mix by myself ) we did it!  Jamie cast his spell, waved his magic mouse and in a puff of smoke and fire it was online. So it just goes to show hard work and a good team pay off ( cue cheesy wonder years voice over ) anyway it’s bloody done so I hope you all like it! Now if you’ll excuse me there is a glass of Cote de Rhone with my name on it

Afternoon! We’ve all (myself, Lana and Aidan) got back from a 3 day camping trip as a reward in a forest about 30mins out of Brighton! Our first weekend off in months and it felt odd not having a buzzing computer or an all encompassing glow from monitor screens. We didn’t get as much band related plans in place, part due to the amount of booze consumed and part due to the relaxing vibe amongst the trees. It didn’t seem the place to be talking shop. But we’re back and smelling of campfires ready to finish the last remaining vocals on Beyond Real, then investing in some looping soft/hardware for the live show. More soon!

The London studio has had another work out today after subjecting the 2 year old (and still going strong) KRK monitors to 6 hours of looping audio, ironing out those peaks and troughs in the mastering stage. The two songs we bounced last weekend are sounding crispy and ready for release! Next step is completing the website and perhaps firing up the visual machine again and making some music vids. Oh and more tunes coming soon!

OK, so as you probably know we’ve been going full steam with finishing the songs. Echo is now done, mastered and sounds great even if I do say so myself! The other two songs Paint by numbers and In the End we have just finished…by the end of Paint by numbers I thought I was going to go mad! Whoever would have thought that someone could spend 3 hours deciding if a computer voice was singing the right melody! Anyway all ended well with a celebratory bottle of wine on the beach and Jamie catching his train with 2 tracks ready to master. All that’s left now is Beyond real (working title) which will be complete as soon as the vocals are finished.

I’ve just spent 2 hot as fuck days in Brighton finishing two tracks ready for mastering this week! I think we officially lost a life each trying to get the minutest details of the tracks polished and becoming one with Logic automation. We’re still working on the names but one will be called Paint by Numbers and hopefully you’ll see them (hear them) up on this site soon.

Need sleep…….. I was up untill stupid o’clock last night listening to and analysing 3 new works in progress Aidan’s been baking in the Brighton kitchen and I’m pleased to say they are VERY good indeed. We will upload some sneak previews on this website after the weekend where we have set a deadline to get them done by at the sacrifice of sleep again. Only a few more tracks away from a release and the light at the end of this tunnel is growing! Stay wired yo. J

Well folks its been a crazy week been to Zurich to act in an indi art film by Lilly Ott but took the time to write some lyrics whilst eating chocolate and drinking beer. I am back now and the songs are almost done so look out !
